  the gov't has been trying to get us to use these clunkers for years.

  i think this is the third try in the last 20 yrs.

  this time they are so desperate they are putting out ps spots talking about how much this will save the gov't (as we all know the gov't is always looking for ways to save money) and that, of all things, it is a green thing to do.... most men carry their money in their pockets/wallet.

  Has Anybody Here Converted to Judaism?

  i've studied many religions since i left the jws.

  i've flirted with a few and have actually thought about joining, but in the end i didn't because it didn't feel right--it didn't resonate with me.

  in 2001, the year i discovered this forum, i started reading judaism 101 and really enjoyed it.

  When did Organized religion as we know it begin?

  i started to think today what about all the people who lived or live in rural areas are they abandoned to god becuase they happen to be born in a location that does not have a church or a place of worship?.

  also if you are born in a muslim country your chances of being a muslim is about 100 percent and if your born in india you chances that you will be hindu and so on.

  i think these places of worship are basically all placed to learn doctrines of man and are all corrupted in one way or another or one extreme to another!.

  Well, the thing about Obama's half brother is true.
  
  He is living in a shanty town in Kenya on about the equivalent of one dollar a month. He says when people ask him if he is related to Barack, he lies, because he is ashamed of his situation.
  
  I don't know what happened to get him into that situation, or what substances he uses, or anything.
  
  That all being said -- Obama-Biden '08.
